Frequently Asked Questions about Bouquet Preservation at Floral + Sage

Where is Floral and Sage located? If I am local can I drop off my bouquet?

I operate Floral and Sage from my home in San Diego County in La Mesa, CA 91942.  If you’re able to drop off, great! You’ll save on shipping costs. If you can pick up the final product, you can save by entering a discount code at checkout. Message me for details.

What is the pressing process, and how soon will I receive my completed bouquet?

The pressing process essentially extracts moisture from the flowers to flatten and preserve them so you can enjoy their beauty for years to come! The pressing process can take 2 months depending on the flowers. I can get them pressed, designed, framed and back to you typically with a 3-4 month turnaround depending on the season.

Can you press a bouquet that is already dried?

No you cannot. Pressing flowers as mentioned above is the process of extracting moisture from the flower to press and preserve. If you try and press an already dried flower, it will crumble. That said, I have done a bridal bouquet "recreation" where we can get similar flowers that were used in your bouquet and create a commissioned frame. email me for more details floralandsage.art@gmail.com

I can do a shadow box display though for already dried flowers. I will professionally arrange your flowers and display them in a shadowbox (they will not be flat and displayed between 2 glass panels like my other frames. Message me for this custom order.

How much can I expect to pay, all costs included?

The cost of the frame plus our service is listed under each individual product on the product page. Taxes and shipping of the final frame are not included in this price but will be calculated at checkout. The other additional cost to consider is shipping the fresh florals to La Mesa, CA 91942

How can I save on shipping costs to get my bouquet to you?

I recommend looking into discounted shipping services such as Shippo and Pirate Ship. Some of our clients have saved up to 60% off retail price for shipping labels by using these discounted services. Users can easily create an account and print out a discounted shipping label at home. Please note, Pressed Bouquet Shop is not affiliated or endorsed by these services, however, we will always share saving opportunities with our clients when applicable.

You can also get an estimate on overnight shipping costs by using UPS's shipping calculator tool and our zip code, 91942.

How far in advance should I place my order?

I understand that you may decide you want to keep your florals after you see them in person on your wedding day! We are happy to accept last-minute orders for bouquet preservations, IF I have availability. Please message me on Etsy or shoot me an email: floralandsage.art@gmail.com

Flowers must arrive within 3 business days after your event to ensure they arrive in workable condition.

How long has the Floral + Sage been in operation?

I started an Etsy shop summer 2020 selling pressed flower frames that I made, and shifted my gears towards bridal and event bouquets in summer 2022!

How can I feel certain that the final frame will arrive safely to my home?

Finished frames are packaged in professionally assembled frame shipment boxes with proper cushioning to ensure a damage-free delivery.

If a frame were to arrive damaged, a replacement frame will be sent to replace the damaged frame as quickly as possible.

Do you press flowers for any occasion?

Yes! Not only do I preserve wedding bouquets, but we can also preserve your custom floral arrangements for any event or occasion such as a funeral, memorial, prom and homecoming, graduation, etc.
